We crossed over the East Walker River and headed inland shortly after passing the Flying M Ranch. The Flying M Ranch was owned by Barron Hilton and features a 5,500′ runway. Dean said the ranch was were Paris Hilton lived while in rehab in the 90s . We didn’t see any nightclubs anywhere near the ranch, ha. Aviator Steve Fossett was last seen alive there when he took off in a small plane on September 3, 2007. An extensive search found nothing. A hiker found his plane more than a year later on a high peak in the Ansel Adams Wilderness near Mammoth.
