This should probably be a new post, but I want to keep the relevant communication we have had thus far (in this post) – and I’m not sure how to copy relevant stuff and start a new post.
So, this post continues the string about me wanting to ride to the area just west of Snowflower Mountain.
So, per “raceu2” input, yesterday I went about five miles on NF-100 starting in Boom Town off of Boomtown Garston Road. If the rest of the way is pretty much like the first five miles then I should have no problem navigating through the rocks. I was in first gear though several times. It looks as though the whole trip appears to be about 20 miles one way. Would probably stop at the point where NF-100 turns west from its long journey south. Then, hike for no more than 30 minutes (one way) toward Snowblower Mountain (I don’t intend to try to get to the top). I won’t do this though without a fellow rider.
So, if anyone is interested, let me know. We would meet at the gas station at Boomtown when the time comes. I would like to go either this Thursday, Saturday, or next week Monday or Tuesday (yes, I’m 65 and have no job at this time – some call it “retired”). My phone number is 775-843-5019, email relieflp@yahoo.com.
