I definitely like the look of it, and I bet it is fun to ride!
I am no expert on Ducs, but I had a 748 some time ago and the timing belts needed to be changed frequently (I think it was 8,000 miles on the 748). It also was a PITA to set the tension. I used a guitar tuning app to check the frequency of a strummed belt, which believe it or not was the recommended method. The Testastretta motor in the Desert X also uses belts. One of the big changes when they went to the Panigale V4 was the adoption of timing chains (finally). Just for that issue alone, I think I would pick the T7 over the X.
