I went down (2/4) to A&S BMW in Rocklin CA to take in the BDR movie on the Oregon BDR trail. My daughter (Kim) and a former Nuke friend from San Franciso joined us. It took David (friend) over 4 hours to make the trip from SF to Rocklin (108 miles). It was an enjoyable film and our tickets got us some very good grub. BDR also informed the audience that BDR has listened to ADV riders and is now going to make LOOP rides for many of the BDR routes, yeah!! The Oregon route starts at Denio Junction NV and covers some of the areas our Clubs have ridden in the past.
I left my daughter’s place in Antelope around 6 am in hopes of avoiding heavy snow falling along I-80 that was in the making. I 4-wheeled from Baxter CA to near Verdi NV (~61 miles), with relatively lite traffic, though there were several spin out noted. The road was packed with a few inches of snow and a lite snowfall was occurring during the trip. I got back to Reno (after stopping in Auburn for breakfast) in just 3 hours (~129 miles), and haft of that was in 4-wheel drive at ~35 mph). The picture shows traffic on I-80 shutdown later Sunday afternoon. Whew!
