Jumbo Grade Single Track?

Wayne and I are heading out to Jumbo Grade Friday Oct. 27th (weather permitting) to check out some singe track up to VC.

Meeting at the Maverick station on south Veterans Prkwy at 10am.

They say you are old when young men no longer fear you. Well, Wayne scared the crap out of me.

We rode up Jumbo Grade, which looks like a really cool riding area, and came back down on some single track Wayne wanted to explore. Between the red arrows (see map) took us about four hours to negotiate. Several huge trees fell on the trail forcing us to ride up steep hills to go around. The whole time we were not sure if we were going to have to turn around and go back the way we came.

I appreciate fire-roads much more now.
