Northern Nevada ADV Dirt Ride

I have done this club ride several times. It can be modified into several individual rides. I would like someone to volunteer to take on this ride development and planning for 2022. Would recommend September or October for the ride. I have available all the tracks. It is a motel ride but can be turned into off-bike camping with some additional work.

Hey Dean, if it is OK with you I’d like to take on the dev/planning for this ride – the route and pics look great. I am also planning a 3-day ride that will go further up into Oregon for early August.

For your ride in September/October I’d prefer to use hotels since it may be pretty cold at night to camp off the bike.

You are welcome. I really hope more club members take up the planning of ADV rides. I have plenty of proven multiday rides I can share with them

Paul & I will probably be staying at Denio (toyhauler) for 5 days during your planned Oregon ride. If you like you can insert a trip to the bomber crash site (Northwest of Deanio), if we are their when you come through. We will be scouting a trail from Denio to McDermitt. I used the trail a couple of times in the last 15 years and want to verify it is still viable.

I will gladly help with the routing of the Northern Nevada ride. I will definitely be along for the ride.

Hey Dean,

Remember your October 2020 Black Rock Campout and Ride to High Rock Canyon? How about if we try to put on a ride more like that, which had a very good turnout? We wouldn’t have to go back to the Black Rock, but pick someplace in northern NV with great camping and riding in September or October.

A multi-day northern NV adventure ride would be epic but I question if there enough hardcore riders in the club right now to do something like that. What do you think?
