Poker Flat? Hell Canyon, Damnation Alley, Hitlers Abortion, The Devils Nutsack, any of these would be better names for this area. The road down into Poker Flat was insane, the road up and out was a nightmare. The rest of  ride was gorgeous. My original route did not exist (thanks Google maps) so we had to go way around and we missed the town of Alleghany. After spending two hours to travel two miles, (getting out of Poker Flat) we opted to ride straight back on the safe pavement Sunday morning. Ultimately, we wanted to make a ride that looked like a German Sheppard on the map, and I think we accomplished that goal.

Looks like we missed a great ride. Playing “guess which road isn’t there anymore” is fun.
