I think Pol Tarres has opened a lot of people’s eyes as to what a modern 400+ lb. adventure bike can do offroad.

I believe a good rider could handle any DDMC club ride on a T7, AT, 890 or similar modern adventure bike. Yes, you can’t throw a big bike around like a KTM 350 EXC but on the other hand if you have to hit the tarmac you’d be glad you are on the adventure bike.

Note that I said a “good rider”. A beginner or someone without any enduro experience should not even try riding an adventure bike on a DDMC ride that has deep sand or real steep uphills or downhills. That could get ugly really quickly.
