ParticipantOk DustDevil’s,
In an effort to try and beat the impending heatwave I would like to depart Verdi Chevron at 8:00 on Saturday morning. This would put us at Los Dos Hermanos in Sierraville around 11- 11:30 and back into Verdi around 2:30.
No GPX available for this ride but I will provide a map and roads/trails names. As mentioned in previous emails this is a C/B- level ride and only at a B- level due to the total mileage at just over 100 miles. I think many of you that have ridden with me know that this will be a slow to medium pace with approximately 4 stops along the way.
At the end of this ride I would like to offer a free frosty at Chop 40 Grill to anyone who is interested. Chop 40 Grill is only a small diversion on our way back to Verdi Chevron.
Here is the route:
1) Verdi Chevron
2) Dog Valley Rd
3) Smithneck Rd
4) Babbitt Rd.
5) Bear Valley Rd.
6) Lemon Canyon Rd
7) Nichols Mill
8) Yuba Pass
9) Jackson Meadows
10) Henness Pass back to Verdi Chevron

Greg RParticipantNah…I ditched those things for a 2 lb. weight savings to help get my DR650 to its current 350 lb wet weight (after all mods) down from its OEM 366 lb wet weight.

ParticipantI’m down to race Greg. It’s going to hurt your feelings when you realize I beat you while giving up 14lbs on the bike (I ditched the passenger pegs too) and ~100lbs on the rider….

Greg RParticipantNah…I’ll just be laughing my ass off either way. The rider (that would be me) is 172 lbs (buck naked), for the record.
