Dave GModeratorThe weather was great! 1st time I have riden the whole way with a jacket on. Trails were in good shape. The hot dog and chili at the end was perfect. After 32 years the OMC really has it’s rally figured out. Thanks Eric for driving.
We ran into a bunch of people who had done the RR200 in the past and we encouraged them to come out this year.
We also ran into David LeBlanc, our member from SF. He’s pretty stoked about the RR200.
The store at Soda Creek near Lake Pillsbury has closed. Windows boarded up.

Kurt138ModeratorSounds like it was a great time! The dirt looks really good in the pics, and the grass a lot more green than it ever gets up here.
Was Day 2 just as long or longer than Day 1? It looks that way from Eric’s map.
That taco truck in Hoppers Corner probably had its best day of the year.
Was it David LeBlanc who made the suggestion to ride to Gerlach for the 4th of July? I think that is a great idea and we could make a killer route there and back. It’s probably going to be hot, hot, hot getting out there on the 4th though.

Dave GModeratorYeah Kur, it was David LeBlanc. We need to find a hard route through the middle I think.

For the 4th how about a ride from Border Town, around Fred’s Mountain and through Moon Rocks to get to a beach at Pyramid Lake? We could probably do some limited sand riding along the lake as long as we stick to areas that are deserted. Everyone bring their swim trunks. Maybe Compadres afterwards? That would basically be like riding in Baja, but without the hassle of going to Mexico. Tribal permits would be required, but that’s only a few bucks.

J. E.Participantenjoying your pictures. That first water crossing was funny. My brother got there first and saw the one guy go over the bars in the water. We saw other guys taking the left line through there and blasted through it.
