When I first saw the above statement I envisioned some remote road in the Northern reaches of Nevada, but it turns out to be a road I ride over frequently!
I guess that is surprising and not at the same time!
It seems to me that Gold Hill is not as steep as several of the streets in SF where you can’t see the hill as you’re driving up, just the hood of your car.
I’ve read elsewhere that NV is the second most mountainous state, after Alaska.
The ration of mountains to roads is high in NV. That’s a good thing. =^)
