Lake Tahoe has some great trails that I avoid during the summer, due to tourists. I would like to take a day trip that hits four of my favorites. (See map).
This trip would include the Kings Canyon trail out of Carson City to HWY 50. The Genoa Peak Trail (50 to 207). The Rubicon trail, splitting off to Blackwood Canyon rd. Finishing with the Watson Peak trail/road.
The Tahoma Market & Deli would be a great lunch stop.
I have ridden all these on my Versys, but I would recommend nothing bigger than a dual-sport.
We will meet at the Maverick gas station (Veterans Prkwy & Geiger) Sept 16th at 9am

Hey Eric. I pulled a calf muscle playing soccer yesterday, but am hoping it heals up enough to ride Saturday. How physically demanding is this loop ride? Will I need both legs often to maneuver etc?
Eric, thanks for putting the loop trail together. I had a blast on the portion I completed. Next trail ride. I’ll rent a dual sport bike instead of riding the Tiger. Tiger did great, but too heavy to cut loose, catch some air and have the full trail experience.
