Greg RParticipantVery cool! It sounds like a very angry bee, and it’s even good for log hopping!
I look forward to in-depth reviews. Been thinking about adding a 2-stroke to my garage.

Sure thing, as long as I get to ride it once!
This thing will blow the doors off that KTM 200 you rode at Shane Watts’ class.

Kurt138ModeratorThere was a plated Husky 300 two stroke at the RR200…food for thought.

Kurt138ModeratorI watched the video Greg posted above and it’s intriguing.
The fuel injection and electronic power valve is all new for a Kawi 2 stroke. I can’t hear the bike go off and on the power valve, it’s smooth. That’s different and not necessarily a bad thing, but Motocross Action noted that fuel injected KTM two strokes feel like they had less hit.
RV said the bike has “zero vibration”. The balance shaft is all new for a Kawi 2 stroke too. It could really work.
The FI and balance shaft will be adding some weight, so the bike should have quite a bit more power and torque than a conventional 250 2 stroke to make up for that.
RV overjumped a tabletop and the bike didn’t bottom out. The chassis and suspension look ready to race.
It looks like RV oversteered a couple of times while riding the track. That could be due to soft suspension setup, but late model KX250s (2005-2007) were also known for oversteer. Kawi sharpened the steering angle from 27 to 26 degrees for the 2005 model year, and that caused the oversteer problem. That’s why a lot of people think the best of the old KX250s were the 2003-2004 models. I hope the 2027 KX327 is a 27.
We should get answers for all these questions when Motocross Action tests the bike.
