More info on the 750 Honda TransAlp. Also, they mention a Suzuki 800 V-Strom. FINALLY, they have a replacement for the tried & true DR 650, though it is porky and more street orientated.
The new Honda and Suzuki look cool.
I can’t see anything new about the Tenere. 16k for a bike that came out in 2010 (in Europe) doesn’t sound like a good idea.
The Tenere “World Raid” has some improvements over the standard T7: slightly longer-travel suspension, better ergos and dual fuel tanks with more capacity. It has the same motor as the standard T7 though. I think it should be priced lower than the Aprilia Tuareg, which has more ride modes, better suspension and more power. The Tuareg is about $4K cheaper.
That is awesome that Suzuki came out with a new P-twin engine for their adventure bike – with more power than a T7. However, IMHO they put that engine in the ugliest adventure bike of the ’23 crop, by far. Suzuki needs to hire some Italian designers or just copy the look of the DesertX or Tuareg.
Hey Dean I totally agree with your comment on Suzuki’s design team, ha. Too bad.
I believe someone on advrider.com converted an MT-09 to an ADV bike and it looked pretty good. However, I am thinking of buying a finished product next year – probably a T-7 or Tuareg. I would look at the the new Honda TransAlp if it comes here too.
