Jason, Greg R., Greg F. and I met up at Track Town in the North Reno Recreation Area on Saturday, May 9th.
We were all there to work on our turns. Did you know there is saying in motocross, “jump for show, turn for dough”? Yeah, turns are important, no matter if you are a pro racer or a weekend dual sport rider. For us weekend riders, better turns means more control, more safety and more fun. And also some faster riding, eventually. =^)
Jose also met up with us just as were finishing our last sessions – he took an ADV route on his KLR to get there from northwest Reno. I think he went around Peavine and through Antelope Valley to get to Track Town (not sure on his specific route).
Here is a short video clip showing a couple of the tracks we rode:
It was a fun day of riding, and lessons were learned.
If you want to come on out the next time there is a “skills workshop”, all club members are invited!
