Track Town Skills Workshop, May 30th

Hey guys,

I will be at Track Town in the North Reno Recreation Area on Saturday, May 30th between 11 AM and 3 PM.

I was planning to switch things up and check out turn track options down south in Johnson Lane but I just haven’t had time to make that trip yet.

The nearest paved intersection to Track Town is the junction of Winnemucca Ranch Road and Range Lands Road, but I won’t be parked there, I will be parked right at Track Town (see map link above). Look for my white Chevy Silverado. I will be riding my KLX450 dual sport but you don’t need a plated bike to ride there – most people bring an enduro or MX bike.

I am planning to ride turn tracks there – many options are available. You can work on other skills there too.

The weather is starting to heat up so I’ll definitely bring an Easy-Up for shade and some cold sports drinks to share.

All club members are invited but if no one shows up, that’s OK. I’ll be riding regardless. =^)

I’m also looking forward to seeing Greg’s trailer upgrade. The open-frame trailer was just a bit sketchy.

I am feeling improvement in my cornering technique because of the repeated practice.

Definitely a fun day. Everyone’s speed is going up. Lots of technique pushing. Had a great tire changing clinic. I had a few offs but no worse for the wear.

Greg your trailer upgrades are cool!
